I don't know what this means, but...

There’s a drum in my head
And I don’t know the beat

There’s a drum in my head
And it doesn’t have feet

There’s a drum in my head
And it has no where to meet

There’s a drum in my head
And it knows no conceit

There’s a drum in my head
And it gives off a lot of heat

There’s a drum in my head
And never keeps anything neat

There’s a drum in my head
And it will never give up its seat

Stop asking & read!

If one more person says: well, I don't know what Barack Obama stands for....I will scream. He stands for a breaking from corporations running the country to the PEOPLE running the country. Corporation don't have the good of the country as their core value. The core value (which is an oxymoron, because corporations do not have values, a moral compass, or a sense of right or wrong)....the core value of a corporation is to make profits at the expense of all other goals. Make profits. Do better than last quarter. It doesn't even matter is the corporation does last a long time to build a tradition or legacy, just needs to be around long enough to make a profit for shareholders. Now, this in it self is not an entirely bad thing, well, I'll say this: it's a goal that has helped this country to reach its greatness. But, the goal of immediate profits above all else does not always consistent with human compassion. Should profits control your health care decisions? Should profits control the Police force or the Fire department? Should profits control how we take care of the homeless, the disabled, the widows, the orphans, or the elderly?
If you want to know what Obama believes it's in his latest book The Audacity of Hope. I know, I know. Why should I buy this book to understand his positions. Because he will not be reduced to media soundbites. He will not reduce his opinions to easy little bits of information that make no sense to a very, very complex world and very complex problems. Its in the book. Check it out at the library (remember those?). Borrow it from a friend. Don't spend $15 bucks at Starbucks or Target and get something to expand your mind.

He's brilliant. He's energetic. He's dynamic. And he scares the daylights out of Hilary.

OMG!

Congratulation Barack Obama!

Think on this:

President of the United States (and former General of the Army) Dwight D. Eisenhower in his Farewell Address to the Nation on January 17, 1961:

A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction...

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence — economic, political, even spiritual — is felt in every city, every statehouse, every office of the federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Happy New Year!!!!!!
