Well, you KNOW I had to talk about Shaunie and Shaq. From the title of this blog alone you know what I think. But let me tell you why I think this woman is a smart cookie. First, let’s do a little context. Cuz, what’s life without context. Milling around in the dark, I say. Well, there are few instances in America where a woman earn hundreds of millions dollars doing a job. I can only think of music superstars and movie superstars. Sports sorta. Remember the WNBA? It’s still around, but who watches? Uh, no one. Anyway, fast forward. You’re a cute, sassy young Black co-ed. A seven foot Black giant takes an interest in you and…..you end up married to a NBA superstar. Of course, this after he sleeps around and ends up in a Professional Ho’s tell all book, gives you three babies (you helped make them, no doubt), and you sign some SUPER, ironclad prenuptial agreement. You know you love your man, but you know the statistics of divorce. Shit, Juanita and Michael got divorced! So, you begin taking money that you LEGALLY have access to and build a nest egg, build a possible escape route. You set up your own accounts. You buy property. All in just your name. You take the money you earn and maximize it to its fullest economic potential. You have in mind the importance of protecting YOURSELF and the KIDS, because he certainly protected himself with the prenuptial agreement (which by the way, we don’t know WHAT it said or how it left her in case of a divorce or separation). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again here: Shaunie is one smart bitch. Booo-yah, Shaq!

Sister girl, I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one a little bit. I don't understand the need for her to have to build a nest egg. Even with the prenup, she was going to get PAID $$$ if they ever got divorced, not to mention what she would get for child support (I think they actually have 5 or 6 kids). If you love your mate, there is no need for secrecy and being dishonest. To go buy property, etc. and put it all in her name without his knowledge is dishonest. In a marriage, you are supposed to work as partners and build things together, not apart or separate. Yes, she legally has a right to the money, but she didn't earn the money. And as far as the prenup, anyone with that much money would be stupid not to have one. You can't tell me that if you were worth a couple of hundred million dollars that you wouldn't have your potential husband sign a prenuptial agreement. But that's not the biggest issue. The biggest issue to me is the dishonesty. How can you trust a person who will do something like that behind your back? I think you would be pissed if the shoe were on the other foot.
