Ladies, you didn’t get chosen because you are successful in your job or educational background. Nor were you chosen, girls, on your wit, intellect, compassion, generosity or kindness to animals. Women are picked for their beauty. All the other things help to keep him. Gentleman, you don’t have it any better, because you are not picked based on your muscle mass, story-telling ability, or your ability to grill up a good steak. And, boys, you are not picked based on your stylish choice in suits, magnanimity, or your love of God. Men are picked for their economic success. All the other stuff helps keep her. Now, many of you are going to disagree, but you’re only deluding yourself. And if you think about it hard enough, maybe you aren’t beautiful enough to get the most successful man or you’re not rich enough to get the hottest chick in the club. It’s a sobering thought. Okay, but do you see what is totally unfair in this process? Men can work themselves to success, but if you’re born ugly what can you do besides get on Extreme Makeover? (Even though your kids are still going to inherit your bad teeth, limp dishwater brown hair, weak chin, flat chest and non-existent cheekbones.) It may even-out, since men can be born stupid. Hmm, this may be an oxymoron, maybe, I’m not sure. Do you know what the most regrettable thing about all of this is? What if you have lobster taste, but all you are able to attract is a catfish? I’m just saying…

i do not agree at all with this post of yours. a couple of my women friends who are married are some of the UGLIEST horsefaced women to walk the earth (but then again the men they married are as ugly as they are if not more so). some of the men are poor as church mice. your post doesn't wash at all with me and i am not deluding myself one bit. sounds to me like you might be trying to make up some excuse of why you are not married.

To add on what you said. This isn’t a learned behavior. This is evolution at work. We get mad at hearing things like this, but this is simply evolution. In the evolutionary battles of our species each individual plainly has a simple goal. That is to pass on your genetic material for the survival and improvement of the race. Yes, we are one race/species.
Here are the two objectives in you subconscious that you are usually not aware of. Even with homosexuals!
A man shoots over a million sperm in one ejaculation. A man can impregnate multiple women and keep on trucking. In a man’s subconscious he is driven to pass on his genetic material to as many fertile women as possible. A man come to the decision on where to shoot his load (so to speak) based on the appearance of the woman (field). This is why even older men are attracted to young women…sometimes young enough to be their own CHILD! The hour glass figure suggests a woman will be able to bear children easily. The hour glass figure neck down is. Bountiful breasts show there will be much milk for the offspring. The hips and butt show a fat reserve for periods of draught; in addition the small hip is a place for the baby to rest while gestating. Above the neck…a pretty face shows health, and fertility. Skin with out blemish, full lips show nourishment, long shiny hair does too. This is why traditionally women in most cultures use make-up. This is to emphasize these things. All the other things about education, whit and such are extra and are aspect of the higher thoughts of a man. However, some of these things are beneficial to a man wanting to carry on his seed to the next generation.
A woman can get pregnant ONCE! Pregnancy is difficult on women. Women in the past weren’t beyond dying in labor. Subconsciously a woman has one chance to get it right. The person she allows to use her body has to have all the necessary skills and traits to produce the best offspring. However, women have a few other tricks and ulterior motives. A woman wants the man to stick around to help in the raising of the child. Women look for muscle in men. This was a sign to our ancestors that the male would be a good hunter. A woman today does still look for a good hunter but as we don’t do this with our hands anymore…she’s on the look out for a good business man. A man that can provide for her in her pregnancy and in the rearing of the child. In our modern society this have evolved to other things. The less educated woman will see this in clothes and transportation. (This is something men do to get the girl!) Because a woman has but one chance nature has assisted in this as has the woman. Many children at birth look like the relatives of the woman. This way the father can’t say this isn’t my child. In the past, women weren’t above sleeping with the muscle man and becoming pregnant only to be involved with the business/successful man. This is done in the animal kingdom as well with some variation. (The Cuckoo does not raise it’s own children. The cuckoo will lay it’s egg in a rival species so that group of parents can raise it’s offspring to the detriment of their own…What is the benefit of this? It allows the cuckoo more time to make more cuckoos!) Think about this... Do we not see this happening with some humans?...particularly male? Make a baby with this woman…do spend time raising it…repeat the cycle several times. With the woman…she will get pregnant by the thug…good physical specimen…but attempt to marry the successful business man.
I would like to add this is all theory. However it is theory from actual anthropologist, biologists and sociologists! This is theory to explain, NOT excuse some of the behavior we see between the sexes.
We see this because men and woman have two different but similar goals.
The man’s goal (biologically) is to mass produce. The woman’s goal is (biologically) to produce quality. Men, women, this should give some explanation and rationale to why you are attracted to what you are attracted to. Seriously, think about it!
Here’s a little evidence.
If is not uncommon to see an ugly man with A GORGEOUS woman. However, it’s less common to see a successful business woman with a GORGEOUS man. Does anyone out here see something interesting in the fact that Janet Jackson has chosen to be with Jermain Dupri and that Beyonce’ is with Jay-Z? How many men were secretly saying to themselves, “He’s not good enough for Toni Braxton?” With business men, a goal is to get a “TROPHY” wife. With business women, do you see them looking for young beautiful men to be on their arm? (I’m sure they use escorts for that in privacy.” But still they have shown that successful women generally will still be looking for a successful man even though they make 6figures of more. A man making that kind of money is still looking for a beautiful woman that can pleasure him. “Her intelligence is icing on the cake.”
Here’s another tip for my brothers. The woman makes the man! It’s not the clothes and the other accoutrements. I was telling this to a young brother the other day. One of the first things a woman will do when she finds a man she likes is DRESS HIM! Seriously, I’ve seen it time and again. It doesn’t matter if he’s ghetto or a business man. “Honey, don’ t you think this looks nice?” Some men get bent out of shape over this when they realize it happening. However, I tell my boys…and this is as a gay man…so I can kind of see this as an impartial witness!... Do what she says and wear what she tells you. A woman’s ulterior motive is to see her man successful so she can be in that big house with the accoutrements that comes with it! If she’s an intelligent woman, she is going to get you the power tie, the good smelling cologne, the smart suit etc… You’re resume will get you the interview, but your lady will help you get and keep that job! In high society the behind the scenes deals are done by WIVES! If you boss invites himself over to your home… Your lady is going to have a good meal and the seating done right! How many men know or care about this kind of stuff? While you are discussing things with your boss… The bosses’ wives will be talking with your wife. They will critique how she sit, how clean your house is, what YOU are wearing, what she is wearing and other things. When your bosses’ leave, they will ask their wives how they enjoyed themselves and what they think about YOU! If they like your lady/wife. They will be a good report. If not. Well, you may need to find another job! I’M SERIOUS! I know it seems like I’m rambling and being comical but I’m serious in sharing this knowledge with my brothers. This happens at the company Christmas party and other events. The woman you have will affect where you go! As you get higher in the corporation, they WILL look to see if you are married! Think I’m lying? “Why do you think at election time so much attention is given to the candidate’s wife?” Hillary, Laura, and Teresa Heinz. How much did the media scrutinize them? At you’re church…how much attention is give to the pastor’s wife? How many pastors do you know AREN’T married?!

As I stated, this is all theory. There is evidence but it is still theory. There is always and exception to the rule!:)
However, to answer your question, what is the evolutionary roll of homosexuality. This is a difficult question. The reason is because of prejudice. There is not a lot of unbiased information regarding homosexuality. We are still subject to the whim of religious and social sensibilities. It’s only recently that many of these forbearances are being removed.
There is a new “Alternative Lifestyles” channel on cable. I don’t know if the companies in Louisville carry it. I believe they do. Anyway, the channel is called Logo. Logo has been showing many documentaries regarding this subject. They have even showed a documentary focusing on animals which shows that homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom. This is something that most religious fundamentality whole heartedly rejects! However this information has been known since the Victorian error. The observers simply hid the information. While there were no cases of actually copulation shown. There were instances of genital stimulation by members of the same sex in numerous species. Most shockingly, this was shown to be exhibited in primates, our closest genetic relatives on the planet. The actions were exhibited even when there was a presence of the opposite sex. Look up information about the pygmy chimps of West Africa. They are also known as Bonoboos(sp.) This group was the most shocking because sexual activity was shown to be commonplace between members of the group REGARDLESS of status. It was shown between siblings, pregnant, non pregnant, old and young and there was no resistance to the actions! Homosexual action was shown amongst primates in Japan as well. They showed elephants, birds and dolphins to name a few. Each of these species was documented to be engaged in genital stimulation with members of the same sex. Sex is a very curious subject that most people are very coy about discussing. Notwithstanding, country boys no that Chickens are able to change their sex, this is a trait they share with lizards. I’m sure you remember Jurassic Park. The portion where they said the female lizard changed their sex to male…that wasn’t Hollywood…that actually can happen!
However, your question is what the roll is. The honest answer is that homosexuality is considered a naturally occurring phenomenon? Most fundamentalist with argue that it is a learned behavior. However, there is little evidence to support this hypothesis. More and more science is declaring homosexuality to be a natural event which may have some influence from environment but largely determined by nature not nurture. Most arguments for the nurture argument fall apart under close scrutiny.
The answer to your question is we don’t know why homosexuality exists. However, I can share with you some of the hypothesis.
1. One hypothesis is that homosexuality is a form of pleasure and bonding. It has been shown that male baboons and dolphins will live in homosexual relationships. They team together to hoard females for their harem. Two male baboons in a homosexual relationship are able to defend again a lone male.
2. Another hypothesis (I like this one and am more familiar and able to elaborate) is that homosexuality is a form of pleasure for the non-producing members of a group. In primates and wolves we refer to them as Alpha versus Beta. It is theorized that homosexual humans may act as a support system to their producing relatives. With higher life forms there is more care given towards the rearing of offspring. Homosexuals tend to not have their own children. Therefore they are available to assist in rearing the offspring of others. The homosexual not engaged in raising their own family is available for support in raising children and caring for the elderly. Some evidence that supports this theory is the Hive system found with insects. The pack system and group system found with canines and primates. In human history it was not uncommon for powerful men to have harems. However most people are forgetful, unaware, or simply ignore that many harems were guarded by eunuchs. These men were deprived of their own life. We can make some assumptions…some true and some valid. Many eunuchs were what we would today consider homosexual or transsexual. Castration did not simply make them devoid of sexual pleasure. Men in power had sex with subordinate men…sometimes consensual and sometimes forced. If we look more deeply, eunuchs were not considered men. So it was not necessarily homosexual of forbidden to be sexual with one. In other cultures before the rise of Christianity(European form), and Islam, homosexuality was celebrated. With American Indians they were known as two spirit people. In some cases they were the holy people and peacemakers of the group. If you are familiar with liberal people. Women particularly will have a best friend that is gay. This gay male gives them the companionship, friendship, protection etc…they may not get from their male lover. Secretly, in churches homosexuals tend to be in charge of the music ministry and children ministry. Is this just circumstantial evidence of is there something valid to it? Do we see a pattern?
These are the hypothesis I’m familiar with.

You always get me. Thanks for that. You knew exactly where I was going with my post. Subtlety is lost on a lot of people, but never you. Thug, even with your very tongue-in-cheek name, I appreciate your thoughtful comments as well. Of course, this phenomenon is evolutionary, as is almost everything else we do. There is nothing new under the sun. Men like child-bearing hips and women like security. We have intellectualized ourselves to believe we have such higher level thinking and we are not animals. We are primates, we are mammals, we are animals. And, one more thing, I’m sorry you ugly women with unsuccessful husband or vice versa take such offense at this post. Lesbianism... That's a whole nother spectrumAs I’m a man who is attracted to men, Lesbianism is almost lost on me!:) I know that’s harsh for someone who claims to be open minded as I do. However, I’m just being honest. Basically meaning I have studied it much. Also there isn’t as much information on Lesbianism. Women are sacred. Our society doesn’t want to disturb that pedestal. Remember, Kinsey didn’t get in trouble for discussing the sexuality of men. It was when he attempted to study the sexuality of women that they threw the book at him and he lost all funding!
The fact of the matter is that women are complicated! A male teacher who was one of the first to attend Agnes Scott College (an expensive liberal arts college for women that survived here in Atlanta Georgia…I wonder how things would be in Louisville had Science hill in Shelby had survived) in the 90’s when the government said that colleges couldn’t discriminate (Black college had to recruit white students and women’s colleges needed to open up to men). He took a course and shared some information with us. Which is the superior sex? Female!
1st we all start as female in the ovum. It’s not till later that male hormones are sent to the fetus to make him male.
2nd Women have more fat then men and are able to survive drought famine etc…better on reserves
3rd Women are able to multi-task and tend to have better memory skills. As a man I’ve spoken to my brothers and almost all of them can testify to this. When you are a little boy you have something and your mother asks you to go get it. You look and you can’t find it. She asks you to look again and you still can’t find it. Finally your mother goes and finds the very thing in 15seconds and scolds you for not looking! Even with grown men, I’ve heard this in subtle variation with wives.
4th Women have a 6th sense! We joke about this but there have actually been studies on this. Science says it isn’t necessarily some mystic energy. Women tend to be more emotional and are thus more able to relate emotionally to others. This is why we generally see women in the roles of care taker… Nurses, Teachers, Childcare, Counselor.
5th Men are physically stronger than women. However some studies have shown this strength to be intense and in spurts. A man can carry a heavy load or lift it for a moment…but women have to carry their breast, and pregnant stomachs for long terms! So they are generally able to endure more…so the theory goes. So with that being said…who’s stronger?
6th Many or most genetic disorders affect men! If the disorder affects the X chromosome…a woman will generally have another X to counter act it! Many babies that die tend to be male! Women generally out number men not just in Louisville or Atlanta or America but GLOBALLY! Women generally out live men 2-10yrs!
7th Just because I think 7 is a perfect number… Women secretly rule men!:)
Note… This is all theory and is generalist statements. There are men who are more emotionally connected than women and such.
Leading me to Lesbianism…
Women are complicated…. A smaller percentage of women are Lesbian versus men being Gay! Seriously, look it up! Many Lesbians learn of their attraction to women in their LATER years! Women can be freer with their sex. Men see women kiss each other, hung, hold hands all the time and feel that’s not Lesbianic (new made up word!:) The women too feel it’s not Lesbian like to do so. In sexual entertainment…it’s not uncommon for a woman to be sexual with another woman for the enjoyment of a man and then be with that man and not be considered a Lesbian! (Is this the case with men?) Women are just more fluid with their sex! Many of the lesbians I know were once involved with men! Some have children. I’ve known some who get mad at their girlfriend and start dating men…he makes her mad and she goes BACK to women! Some would say that Bisexual…but that’s another story and I don’t want to make more complicated than it is.
On the other part regarding Lesbianism.. You have masculine women and feminine women! Slang terms are Studs(masculine) and Lipstick(feminine). Then you have variation of these! There are Studs(who still dress and behavior in some form or fashion as typical women…with make up etc..) There are Studs who dress like men and you have to take a second look at. There are lipstick who are as feminine as you can get. Any heterosexual man would be crazy other them. The dress, the make up, the sweet perfume, the girlie behavior the whole nine! But they aren’t bisexual…they like women…then they like to be the passive partner! Still there are some which like to be the active partner!
You see why I said the subject is so complex. There is little study and few subjects and numerous variations! Women’s sexuality is seen as none threatening and unimportant in our society…more so than it was in Kinsey’s time…when women were told, “Close your eyes and think of England.”-Queen Victoria to her Daughter when questioned about sex.
More proof? Think about how women didn’t commonly wear pants till WWII and it was considered by many conservative to be a SIN for women to wear man’s clothing. Now see how many women wear SUITS AND TIES! How many cut their hair short and wear pants suits! No see a normal heterosexual man wear heels and see what would happen? I didn’t say dress, make up etc.. I just heels! If his feet didn’t kill him the mod would by violence or embarrasment! Seriously...you have straight women wearing boxer and still getting @#$3
by men. Would you sleep with a man that wore high heels?
